✦Fandom Origin & Meme Lore

In the expanded Rule 63 Hogwarts, Severus Snape is reimagined as "Severa" (or Severina) Snape. Depicted as a reclusive, sharp-tongued gothic scholar who lives amidst simmering cauldrons and pickled boomslang skins, Severa serves as Malfoid’s strict Slytherin Head of House and reluctant mentor. Where Malfoid is radiant platinum and flashy wealth, Severa is ink-black melancholy and tragic restraint. Her deadpan evaluations ("Turn to page 394, before I deduct fifty points for your sheer existence") make her a fan-favorite figure in dark fantasy illustrations.

Why It Trends Across the Internet

The appeal taps directly into Dark Academia, Victorian gothic romance, and the classic "Kuudere" archetype (cold and cynical on the surface, sheltering buried wounds beneath).
