In Another Light

Story Synopsis & Background

It has been seven years since the Battle of Hogwarts, and Harry Potter has buried himself in dangerous Auror case work to escape the quiet aftermath of the war. When assigned an unusual investigation, he steps into Madam Malkin's in Diagon Alley and comes face to face with the one person he never expected to meet again.

"Seven years of paperwork and stakeouts couldn't prepare Harry for the bell chiming over Madam Malkin's threshold. Standing before the mirror, measuring tape floating in midair, was Draco Malfoy—dressed in tailoring that left no doubt of her presence, hair caught up in silver pins. When she turned and met his gaze, the sharp emerald flash in her eyes hadn't changed in the slightest."
