Pine & Petal

Story Synopsis & Background

Two years after the Battle of Hogwarts, a controversial post-war Ministry decree forces pureblood houses and war survivors into binding magical unions. Paired with her former nemesis, an aristocratic female Draco Malfoy navigates deep trauma, forced domestic proximity, and slow-burn healing alongside Auror Harry Potter.

"The scent of pine needles and crushed gardenia hung thick in the Wiltshire greenhouse. 'We don't have to pretend for the Ministry inspectors when they aren't here, Potter,' Draco said, clipping a silver thorn with steady hands. Harry leaned against the wooden workbench, quiet and steady. 'I wasn't pretending, Draco. Not then, and not now.'"
